Detail  At Candy, Ceylon, Adam Davie, esq. Major of the 1st Malay Regiment. Although the fate of this gentleman has been most severe, it now affords no small consolation that it has been ascertained he died a natural death; and that the reports which were so often circulated regarding his mutilation and torture were totally unfounded.
