Detail  In the East Indies, aged 21, Lieut. Benjamin Burgess, of the 4th regiment of Bengal Native Infantry, and eldest son of Mr. Francis B. of Leicester. He fell at the battle of Deeg, in the engagement with the main army of Holkar. This promising young officer had seen much service, and was severely wounded at the storming of the Fort of Ally Ghur, on the 3rd of November, 1803. He possessed much true courage and humanity; was greatly esteemed in the army; and his death is lamented by all who knew him.
