Detail  At Bettus Clirow, in Radnorshire (near to the Hay, Brecknockshire), of a gradual decline, Thomas Beavan, esq. And, on the day he died, his eldest son, Hugh Beavan, landed in England from an adventure of seven years in India, whither he went as a soldier of fortune, and was in many engagements under the Marquis Cornwallis. At the siege of Pondicherry he procured his discharge by engaging to find two substitutes, to be sent from England on his return home.
