Inscription  In Affectionate Memory of Lt-Col William E Andrews MA FRGS. Principal of this College from 1926 to 1951. Died in England on 20th November 1967. He worked devotedly for 25 years for the advancement of La Martiniere Lucknow and for the poor boys for whom the College was founded. During his headship Spence Hall and Sykes Hall were built and the battle Honours awarded. This Memorial is erected by the Govenors Staff and Students as a token of their regard and esteem for a great Principal who gave of his best for the welfare of his students.
