CommentIOR/O/5/26 Vol. 1 List 3: Europeans residing in Calcutta, environs and surrounding districts (within 10 miles of Calcutta) etc, received in 1795.
Transcriber's Note: There is no description provided on the first page as a heading to the list. However, despite the fact that the IOR date this list at 1795, and indeed there is a received by Boddington in 1795 on the cover, I believe that it is almost contemporary with, or pre-dates the Mofussil list (q.v.), i.e. was created in 1793. This list is set out differently and contains more names (a large number of Greek merchants are listed in Dacca, I have not seen these mentioned in any other list so far). However, when the length of residence in India is compared for those whose names are repeated from list 2 above, it is usually less by about 3 months.
