Served with his Regiment in the Columns under the Command of Brigadiers Gerrard and Seaton. Present at the action of Narnoul, 16th November 57; Gungeeree, 14th December 57; Puttiallee, 17th December 57; and Mynpooree, 27th December 57. Present with the Army under Lord Clyde at the storm and capture of Lucknow, in March 58, and all the subsequent operations in Oude under Sir Hope Grant. Medal and 2 Clasps. Served with a Detachment of the 1st European Bengal Fusiliers under Major"Wheeler, when they captured 5 guns from the Nusseerabad Brigade, at Shahdutgunge, on the 30th October 58. |
