Service  Lieutenant Wallace was present with the 1st Fusiliers at the battle of Badlee-ka-Serai, 8th June 57; in all the subsequent operations under the walls of Delhi, including the affair in the rear of Camp, 19th of June 57; and under General Nicholson, at Nudjufghur, on he 24th of July 57. Present at the storm and capture of Delhi, 14th September 57. Served in the Columns under the Command of Brigadiers Gerrard and Sir Thomas Seaton. Present at the actions of Narnoul, 16th November 57; Gungeeree, 14th December 57; Puttiallee, 17th December 57; and Mynpooree, 27th December 57. En route to Futtehghur: present with lord Clydes Army at the siege and capture of Lucknow, in March 58, and subsequent operations in Oude under Sir Hope Grant. Medal and 2 Clasps.
