Present at the siege, storm, and capture of Delhi, and brought out of action a Detachment of the Kumaon Battalion the day of the final assault. Present at the action of Sussia Ghaut, 9th February 59, when Brigadier Horsfords Column captured all the guns remaiaing in the hands of the rebels. ( Wounded slightly at Delhi, 6th August 57, when commanding one of the Right Picquets.) Medal and Clasp. Served as Staff Officer with the Column under Major Ramsay, on the Delhi and Muttra Road, in August 58. |
