Accompanied the Force under Brigadier General Nicholson, in December 53, on the Omerzaie Wuzeerees, Bunnoo Frontier, and attacked and surprised them at night. Served in an Expedition in the Hungoo Valley, in 55, under Brigadier Chamberlain. Commanded the Left Wing, 2nd Punjab Infantry, forming a portion of Brigadier Cokes Column of attack on the border of the Affreedies, in their fastnesses, and secured the heights. Engaged in several minor aifairs, in Command of out-posts against the marauding parties from the hills, and in repulsing attacks on villages. |
