Severely wounded by explosion of powder whilst engaged in blowing up a Magazine in Fort Futtehpore, Chowdrassee. Present during the storm and capture of Lucknow under Lord Clyde, March58. Present at Fort Rooya, 15th April; at the action near Allygunge, 22nd April; at the action of Bareilly, 5th May; and at Seerpoorah, 30th August 58. (Severely wounded on the head by a tulwar cut.) Medal and Clasps. |
