(Severely wounded at Thanna Baon, on the 18th September 57.) Served as Orderly Officer to Brigadier Coke with the Roorkee Field Force. Mentioned in Brigadier Cokes Despatch of the action of Nugeena. Joined the Roorkee Field Porce with his Ressala, and present at the action of Bareilly, 5th May 58. Served in the Philibheet District under Brigadier Coke. Medal. Promoted to the rank of Brevet-Major for services during the Mutiny. |
