Service  Lieutenant Sitwell served in the Sonthal Campaign in Command of a Detachment, 31st Native Infantry, in 55, 56. Served during the Persian Expeditionary Force in 57. Medal and Clasp. Served on the personal Staff of Sir J. Outram, from August 57 to February 58. Present at the actions of Mungulwarrah and the Alum Bagh, at the relief of Lucknow, September 57, (Wounded.) Served during the defence, and was severely wounded at the final relief by Lord Clyde. Mentioned in Sir E. Napiers Eeport, September 57. In Sir J. Outrams Despatch, 25th November 57, and received the thanks of Government. Medal and Clasp.
