Present at the siege and surrender of the Fortress of Mooltan, repulse of the enemys night attack on the British Camp under General Whish, at Muttee Thal, and action of Sooroojkhoond, 7th November 48 Medal and Clasp. Served with the Goorkha Army under H. H. Maharajah Sir Jung Bahadoor, and held Military Charge of a Division of the Force; engaged and defeated the rebel forces at Peepraitch and Shahgunge, in the Goruckpore District, the enemy at the latter numbering 12,000 strong; at the "Pandoo Nuddee," in Oude, in which action the rebels lost 600 killed; re-capture of Goruckpore and the operations attending the seige and capture of Lucknow, in which his Division took seven guns; succeeded to the charge of the Goorkha Army after the fall of Luckuow, and conducted it through Oude to Segowlie, occupying Fyzabad en-route, which was evacuated by the rebels on the approach of the Goorkha Army.
