Service  Captain Paske served during the Punjab Campaign, 48, 49. Present in several expeditions against the Hill Tribes on the Peshawur Frontier, and was present with the Force sent into Eusuffzaie under Lord Clyde. Commanded a Detachment in pursuit of the Jullundur rebels, in 57. Received the special thanks of the Secretary of State for India, of the Governor-General, and of Sir J. Lawrence, for discovering and frustrating a plot formed by the Left Wing, 4th Native Infantry, in 58, to murder their Officers and all the Europeans in the Station.
