Service  Assistant-Surgeon Mckellar served with HMs 80th Regiment throughout the Burmese War of 52, 53. Present at the capture of Martaban; at the operations before Rangoon on 12th, 13th, and 14th April; in Medical Charge of Major Cottons Force, at the capture of Prome, in June 52; at the taking of Prome, and the subsequent operations in its vicinity. Medal. With the 3rd European Regiment in the actions near Agra, of the 5th July and 10th October 57; and in Medical Charge of Major Montgomeries Force in the engagement with the rebels near Allyghur, on 24th August; with Colonel Seatons Column in the actions of Gungeeree and Puttiallee. Medal.
