Service  Lieutenant Macintyre served against the Hill Tribes on the Peshawur Frontier, under Sir Colin Campbell, in 51, 52. Present in the expeditions under Sir C. Campbell, against the Ranezaie Tribes, Peshawur Frontier, at the destruction of the fortified village of Pranghur, and action at Ishkakot. Present with the expedition against the Afreedies of the Boree Valley, near Peshawur; accompanied the Koorum Expedition in Affghanistan, in 56. Employed in several occasions in 57, 58, when commanding the extra Goorkha Regiment, in protecting the Hill Passes on the Kalee Kumaon Frontier, from the Rohilcund rebels, and in keeping the district in order.
