Service  Lieutenant Lambert served in the Burmese War, 52, 53. Present under General Steel, at the operations in the march from Martaban to Tonghoo. Medal. Present at the battle of Badlee-ka-Serai, 8th June 57 ; and at the actions of June 12th, 17th, 19th, 20th, and 23rd (struck down by sunstroke). Present at the action of 12th August 57, under Brigadier Showers, at Nudjufghur; 25th August 57, under General Nicholson; and at the assault and capture of Delhi, 14th September 57. Served in Oude, 58, 59, as Sub-Assistant Commissary-General with the Field Force under Colonel Payne, and at Sultanpore, Oude. Medal and Clasp.
