Service  Captain Jenkins served with the Soraon Field Force under Brigadier Rowcroft, 57, 58. Commanded 2nd Squadron European Yeomanry Cavalry. Present at the action of Amorah, (charger shot under him,) 5th March 58; at the skirmish near Sibya, I7th April 58; attack on Amorah, 25th April 58; and defeat of the rebels at Fort Nuggur, 29th April 58. Medal.
