Service  Assistant-Surgeon Jackson served with the 1st Punjab Infantry in the Meeranzaie Expedition under Brigadier Chamberlain, in 55; in the Koorum Valley Expedition, in 56 ; in the expedition against the Bozdar Tribe, in March 57. Marched with the Regiment to Delhi, and was at the siege and capture of that city in 57. In the Rohilcund Campaign in 58, with General Jones Column, including the actions of Bhagawallah, Nageemah, and Meeahwallah, siege and capture of Bareilly, and action of Burnaie, and in the expedition against the Wuzeerees in 59, under Brigadier-General Chamberlain. Medal and Clasp.
