Served during the Punjab Campaign, 48, 49. Present at the actions of Chillianwallah and Goojerat, and in pursuit of the Sikh Army and Affghans to Peshawur. Medal and 2 Clasps. Present at the capture of Martaban, in April 52. Medal for Burmese War, 52. Accompanied General Godwin at the capture of Martaban as Interpreter. Accompanied Major Forster, of the Madras Army, as Principal Assistant Commissioner of Province Amherst.
