Service  Ensign Holford served during the Sutlej Campaign, 45, 46. Present at the actions of Ferozeshuhur and Sobraon. ( Wounded severely.) Medal and Clasp. Served throughout the Burmese War, 52, 53. Present at the re-capture of Pegu, 21st November 52; relief of the Garrison on 14th December 52; and operations in its vicinity. Accompanied the Martaban Column under General Steel, throughout the operations en route to Tonghoo. Medal. Present at the battle of Badlee-ka-Serai, 8th June 57, and all the subsequent operations at the siege of Delhi, including the operations under General Nicholson, at Mozuffurghur, 25th August 57; and assault and capture of Delhi, 14th September 57. Ensigns Commission. Wounded severely at the siege of Delhi, 57. Served under Brigadiers Gerrard and Seaton. Present at Narnoul, 16th November 57; Gungeeree, 14th December; Puttiallee, 17th December; and Mynpooree, 27th December "57. Present under Lord Clyde at the storm and capture of Lucknow, March 58; and all the subsequent operations in Oude under Sir H. Grant. Medal and 2 Clasps.
