Commanded the Infantry on several occasions during the siege, assault, and capture of Delhi. Present in every skirmish from the 9th June to 14th September 57. (Wounded four times.) Medal and Clasp. Present with Brigadier Showers Flying Column in the district about Delhi, in 57, after the capture, as Commandant of Guide Cavalry. Served with the Force under Sir S. Cotton in the Sultana Expedition, against the Hill Tribes in Eusuffzaie, in April and May 58, as Commandant of Cavalry and 2nd in Command of Guides. |
