Served with the Royal Naval Brigade, under Captain Sotheby, R. N., from October 57 to January 58, including the action of Saharunpore, 26th December 57. Served under Sir E. Lugard, in the Arrah District, as Interpreter and Staff Officer. Served during the Oude Campaign, 58, 59, under Sir R. D. Kelly. Received thanks of Parliament and Government of India and of the Governor-General. 1 Medal |
