Served with Hodsons Horse at the actions of Gungeeree, Puttiallee and Mynpooree, under Sir J. Seaton, at the action of Shumshabad, near Futtehghur, wounded; under Brigadier A. Hope, served in Command of a Squadron of Hodsons Horse; with the Column under Sir Hope Grant, in Oude, in February 58. Engaged in the action of Meahgunge. Present throughout the siege and, capture of Lucknow. Medal and 2 Clasps, V.C., and Brevet-Majority. |
