Service  Captain Boisragon served in the Saharunpore and Mozuffernuggur Districts during the Mutiny and Rebellion in 1857-58. Commanded the Troops engaged at " Sedhowlie," "Nookur," " Gungah," &c., and commanded the Infantry Detachment at the engagement at Hurdwar, January 10th 1857. Medal. Mentioned in Despatch of Captain H. Boisragon, who commanded the Troops at the engagement at Hurdwar. Appointed by Sir Hugh Rose, K.C.B., to the important Command of the 30th Native Infantry, in consideration of useful and gallant service in the Field.
