Service  Major Boileau served during the Punjab Campaign, 1848-49. Medal. Formed one of the Garrison of Lucknow from June to November 1857, and was brought to the favorable notice of the Governor-General in the Despatch of Sir J. Inglis, K.C.B., 25th September 1857, and thanked by the Governor-General, 8th December 1857. (Medal and Defence Clasp, and 1 year's extra service for Lucknow.)
