During the Pindaree war, 1817-18-19; Bundlecund 1821; in Hurrianah 1824-25; against the Coles 1832-33, and throughout the Campaign on the Sutlej, including the battles of Moodkee, Ferozeshuhur, Buddiwal, and Alliwal. Medal, 2 Clasps,and Brevet-Lieutenant-Colonel. Commanded the Sonthal Brigade during the insurrection of 1855-56.
