Present at Ramnuggur and the Passage of the Chenab; actions of Chillianwallah and Goojerat, and subsequent pursuit of the Sikhs and Affghans under Sir W. Gilbert. Medal and 2 Clasps. Commanded a Detachment 8th Irregular Cavalry, on the occasion of the repulse of the' rebels from Huldwaine on 18th September 1857. Mentioned in the Despatch of Major H. Maxwell, who commanded on the above occasion.
