Grant, K.C.B., in November 1858; at the skirmish near Bunkussia Fort in December 1858, and the action near Jerwah Pass, Trans-Raptee, in March 1859. Wounded dangerously in abdomen and severely in left arm on the latter occasion. Mutiny Medal. Mentioned in the Despatch of Lieutenant-Colonel Gordon, Commanding 1st Sikh Infantry and Outpost at Jerwah, 26th April 1861. |
