Inscription  Major General Hamilton Hall who after a period of 40 years service in the Honorable East India Companys service ended an honorable careet when in command of the South Division of the Army on the 12th May 1827 aged LXVI [66] years    
Remarks  poss match. Hamilton Hall died 13 May 1827 Major General Commandate of the Sn Dn aged 65 years was buried at Trichinopoly by the Revd Joseph Wright. [BL IOR Death Burials N-2-10 page 639]
