Inscription  Sacred to the memory of Eliza the beloved wife of Colour Sergeant George Tyson 1st Battalion 14th Regiment who departed this life in the blessed hope of the ressurection through our Lord Jesus Christ on the 12th day of September 1874 in the 29th year of her age leaving her husband and three young children to mourn her loss Also Bertie Martell son of the above who died at Calcutta on the 23rd September 1873 Aged 21 days This stone was erected by the Non Commissioned Officers and men of Letter F Company as a small tribute of their esteem and respect
