Inscription  Here are interred the remains of Richard Turner Esq late Judge and Magistrate of the Zillah of Agra He was singularly gifted with those virtues which form the Christian and adorn the Man By his humanity and beneficence in the district where he presided his administration was a blessing His enlightened abilities as a Magistrate His inflexible integrity as a Judge justly merited and repeatedly obtained the unqualified approbation of Government In private life he was not less esteemed than loved Of this the best and strongest proof is the sincere sorrow of his friends and the deep affliction of his relations and family He lived universally respected He died universally lamented in the 32nd year of his age on the 21st of September AD 1815
