Register Entry  On the 9th inst in the Rock House Congleton aged 95 years.This worthy old veteran had formally served in the army under the Marquis of Graney and Archduke Charles in the memorable German campaign and was honoured with the chair as president at the famous dinner party given by Dr Tilstone, on the coronation day of her most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria the First to twenty seven ancient Britons who had lived in the reign of George the second and whose united ages amounted to 2255 years. The venerable relic of bygone days had in his pilrimage through life been happy possessor of only four wives and after bufferting the storms of life for nearly a century full in years as he had lived much respected by all who knew him -Manchester Times.
