Inscription  This stone is erected by the missionaries of the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland in Rajpootana in loving remembrance of the pure and noble character and singularly devoted life of the Revd Gavin Martin MA who for a period of ten years laboured earnestly for the social and spiritual advancement of the native community in and around Nusseerabad He died at Asapura on the 29th day of October 1874 aged 36 years
