Summary Remarks  At Cochin the troubles which have long disturbed the peace of that settlement still continue. The Marattah Pirate who lately seized the French ship Le Juene Creole is a descendant of the celebrated Angria and he is said to possess many of the characteristics which so distinguished that sea marauder. When Monsieur St Felix demanded his reason for seizing the ship he answered ""that he did not understand the colours she wore"" - she had the National Colours. It does not seem that Monsieur St Felix was dispatched with the ships under his command from Mauritius, in consequence of information having been received there of the action between the Phoenix and Resolute? but merely to relieve the two frigates stationed on the Malabar Coast on that service being expired.
