Date transcribed | 2000-00-00 | Transcribed by | Peter Schofield | Comment | Names transcribed from (microfilmed copy held in the British Library) the Madras Courier, Vol VIII, Numbers 326-341, 1792. |
| Surname | Seale | | Rank | Lieutenant | | Occupation or Status | Commander of Picket | | Location | Guzzeretty Pass | | Summary Remarks | The Guzzeretty Pass has at length been explored, and it is reported to be almost impracticable for heavy guns. We are indebted for these discoveries to the exertions of Major Cuppage. A Detachment under the command of Captain A Cuppage was ordered to make an attempt to take the guns that had been taken at Coimbatore. On the 17th Lieutenant Seale, the officer on Picket intercepted an express of the enemy's going into the Carnatic. | | Article Type | News Article | | Issue Number | Vol. VIII, No. 330 | | Issue Day | 2 | | Issue Month | February | | Issue Year | 1792 |
