Summary Remarks  A French Officer had been sent to Chalmers and Nash to prevail upon them to enter Tippoo's service, and on their speaking of the matter as an insult to their honour, and derogatory to their characters as British Officers, they were immediately loaded with irons and confined to separate prisons.
