Engaged in various operations with the troops under Colonel Cumberlege, Sir E. Lugard and General Douglas against the mutineers, who had been driven out of Oudh and were trying; to cross the Ganges to Shahabad. Present at various actions with these, in the defence of Bairia by Lieutenant Jennings, and took part in the destruction by the ""Benares"" gun-boat of a number of boats collected for transport. |
