Summary Remarks  Letter from Thomas Parry to John Donnel, Esq., U.S.A. Mentions a plan for employing the ship Ann to continue a trade from this place. Getting coffee from Ceylon and indigo equal to the Musters contained in the box which Captain Russell will deliver to you. The indigo is manufactured at some works principally belonging to my partner Mr Pugh and myself situated at Cuddalore. Should you return Captain Russell with the Ann I would recommend putting in her 200 barrels of tar and 50 tonnes of iron hoops. Captain Russell, in consequence of your orders regarding passengers being to very particular, has felt himself under some difficulty taking aboard two gentlemen who are accompanying him - Captain Newell, the Master of a vessel under American colours called the Creole, which has been condemned, and Mr Chabit, an American who was passenger with Captain Newell from the Isle of France.
