Summary Remarks  Letter from Thomas Parry to A Colvin, at Calcutta. Mentions an expedition from some place to the Eastward is now on foot. The Admiral embarks and the ships are to proceed to Penang to take on the troops lately arrived there from England. There are rumours of a dispute between the French and Dutch parties at Batavia and a very serious contest between the Chinese and Malayas. The expedition may perhaps be destined for that part of the world.
