	Summary Remarks	Another of Thomas Parry's nephews, Joseph Pugh arrived in Madras and joined the firm as an assistant. He arrived the the ship City of London from the Isle of France, and was probably stationed in Mauritius for a period before coming to Madras. He became senior partner in 1839 and retired to England in 1841.
