Summary Remarks  General Court Martial of Lieutenant O'Halloran, Adjutant 4th Battalion European Infantry, for behaviour unbecoming the character of an Officer and Gentleman. For falsely and maliciously defaming the character of Lieutenant Colonel Showers by exhibiting false letters against him before a General Court Martial against the said Lieutenant Colonel Showers (signed) Peter Murray, Adjutant General. The court martial was held by warrant from Colonel Ahmuty, senior Officer commanding the troops at Fort William, authorized by the Most Noble Charles Marquis Cornwallis, K.G., Governor General. President of Court Martial Lieutenant Colonel Hussey, Artillery. Members: Major Dunn, 3rd European Bn., Captain Bradley, 18th Sepoy Bn., Captain Haynes, 4th European Bn., Captain Burton, 78th Regt. ...... Captain Lloyd, 3rd European Bn., Captain Legertwood, Artillery, Captain Pennington, 4th European Bn., Lieutenant Stuart, 3rd European Bn., Lieutenant F Bondshaw, 39th Sepoy Bn., Lieutenant Fleming, 36th Regt., Henry Fox Calcraft, Judge Advocate General. The sentence was acquittal (signed) Vere Warner Hussey, Lieutenant Colonel.
