Summary Remarks  One of our pilot Schooners with 40 seamen well armed and under the command of a King's lieutenant, went up to Chinsurah, to take the Pilot and other Dutch Vessels at that place. In the evening the Lieutenant with 14 seamen, went on shore, and demanded the keys to the Fort in his Majesty's name, but Mr Ross, the Chief, refused to deliver them, and immediately ordered the bridges to be drawn up, till the arrival of the Regiment of Sepoys from Chandernagore, to the Commandant of which Mr Ross surrendered the Fort.
