Entry  On the 15th of July last, at Calcutta, in the 17th year of his age, Mr William Wilson Cooke, Midshipman on board H.M.S. Punjab, son of Mr. George Cooke, 5, Marine Terrace, in this town. The Commander of the ship, in his letter to the deceased's father, speaks of him in the highest terms-that he was in great favour with all or board, and believes, had he been spared, he would have been an ornament to the service.
