Entry  On Friday, Nov 13, aged 83, at Earlsoham, Suffolk, of which he had been many years Rector, highly respected and beloved by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance, the Rev. Francis Capper, the elder brother of Col. Capper, late of Cathays, Cardiff. -Sincere in his friendships, unassuming and mild in his manners, cheerful in society, resigned as a christian under repeated affliction from the loss of children, formed and amiable characters, (father of Col. Capper, lost on his passage from Madras, with Gen. M'Doual[sic], upon the occasion of the mutiny in the Company's troops) leaving by the recollection of his virtues, a pattern to follow. The last-named Col. Capper was Adjutant-General to the army at Madras.
