Entry  On the 6th inst., at his residence in Abergavenny, in the 85th year of his age, General William Kinsey, senior officer of the Madras Army. The death of this respected gentleman, occasioned a sensation in the town rarely witnessed; and, as a testimony of the esteem and regard in which he was held, the inhabitants closed their shops, on the day of the funeral, until his remains had been conveyed to the grave.
