Description  Watch and Clock Maker, of Calcutta, better known as the friend of Native Education, and latterly as a Commissioner of the Petty Debt Court in Calcutta. His biography by Baboo Peary Churn Mitter was lately published in Calcutta, and his Statue by Baily, R. A. is erected in the grounds of the Presidency College. The �Hare School� is so called after him.
