Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Mrs. Louisa Ross. The beloved wife of Mr. T. Ross, H.C.M. and grand-daughter of the Rev. John Townsend, Founder of the Deaf and Dumb Asylum, whose dissolution took place on the 20th June 1845, aged 31 years, 11 months and 26 days. Her amiable qualities were known to few in India, having been but a few months in Calcutta, but by her afflicted husband, relations and an extensive circle of dear friends her loss will be greatly deplored.
