Sacred to the Memory of Thomas Clarke, Esq., late Senior Branch Pliot H.C. Marine, Obit 31st July 1839, aged 52 years. As head of the service to which he belonged, he showed to the junior branches of it, a steady example of integrity, diligence and attachment to its duties, but above all this he was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and exemplified his faith by works of piety and active benevolence.
