Entry  BEATSON � Melancholy death of a student of Hayleybury College � On Saturday the 5th May, Mr robert Beatson, a student of the above College, and son of the late Colonel Beatson, of the East India Company's Service, met with his death by drowning, having become affected with the cramp whilst bathing in the river Lea, near Rye House, in the company of three other students [long obituary] Mr Beatson was only eighteen years of age, and was deemed at the college a most promising student.
